Wegleithof

The Wegleithof in St. Walburg is a showcase project for the conservation of the South Tyrolean mountain farming culture. Farmer Traudl Schwienbacher is the mastermind behind and champion of the "For a liveable Ulten Valley" project. The aim of the project is to teach mountain farmers old handicrafts and cultivation techniques so that they can gain an additional source of income and market their own produce more successfully. Traudl herself manufactures countless products on her farm, including sheep's wool, herbs, tea blends and natural cosmetic products, to name but a few. In addition, the Wegleithof herb kingdom is absolutely not to be missed.
